The Event The event everyone is talking about 11/12/03 BritishRally.co.uk Following the 2003 inaugural event, the South Hams Motor Club Ltd welcomes you to the second running of the Newton Abbot Audi Stages. Let's go rallying... The 2004 event is a one day rally taking place on Saturday 17th January. This year sees the Rally HQ move right into Newton Abbot at The Racecourse, (just around the corner from our main Sponsor Newton Abbot Audi on The Avenue!) It really is a tremendous venue with loads of space and FREE admission for spectators to get “right up close” to the cars whilst they are being serviced throughout the day. If you have never seen a rally car then here is your chance, from Minis and Escorts to Subaru Imprezas and Porsches – different “horses” to those usually seen at the Racecourse!! The real adrenaline pumping action takes place in the forests on Haldon and Dartmoor. Last year’s overall winners Anthony Wilmington/Andrew White in their Mitsubishi Evo6 from Dorchester and Exeter based crew Paul Kynaston/Gary Bulley – Historic section winners in their Sunbeam Tiger – will no doubt be defending their Titles at full speed, some 100mph and more!! And this on unforgiving tree-lined gravel roads ….. The action starts around 8am. Our thanks must go to Newton Abbot Audi and all the other sponsors, without who’s financial help (see below), this event could not run.
