The "Everything" Summary
On sites with these packages I have shown a sales increase of up to 24% and bounce rates drop from 80% down to 20%. I have worked on a number of multi-million pound projects so I know how to create usable, functional and successful web sites.
The "Everything" service is broken down into these main areas:
Phase One - Research, Wire-frames and testing
(roughly 1 to 3 weeks)
I will need to ask you around a dozen questions about your business so I understand what are the most important aspects of your business and the most popular. From here I will research your competitors to see what value they place in the positioning of the different sections.
Once I have a clear understanding of your business I will start off by wire-framing a page or pages and then discuss with you the why's and how's. This is the very best point to ask questions and to request changes to the position of the blocks. At this stage everything is simple and easy to change.
Once we are happy with the block wireframe I will move onto a visual wireframe which will show you how your site will look. At this point you can still request changes but they will take a little longer to do because I'm now dealing with an image with a large amount of layers. It is also at this point I will begin usability testing with one or two testers to see if the layout is suited to your business and the visitor expectations are met. It is incredible how even the simplest things can have a real negative impact on the user so I will spend time testing to make sure the user experience is as good as I can make it
Phase Two - Building the site
(roughly 1 to 2 weeks)
Once I've received the sign-off for the first two wire-frames I will then begin coding the site. At this point any changes would be lengthy and costly which is why I make sure you have the two chances to change your mind before the coding begins
At this stage all of the following would be added or included:
- The most user and search engine friendly code would be used
- The HTML and CSS will be error free
- Meta tags added for search engines
- Statistical code added so we can analyse the performance of the site
- Any forms would be added
Phase Three - Previews plus functional and usability testing
(roughly 1 week)
At this stage I would email you a link to review the work. While you are reviewing the site I would be testing the code to make sure everything is working and checking all the tags have been completed. Once I'm happy and you're happy I will begin one final round of usability testing with different testers to make absolutely sure we have created the most easy to use site possible.
I would at this point also open up my test server and also start asking others in this field to comment on the work and see if anything has been missed or could be improved.
Phase 4 - Release and promotion help
Once the site is live I will email you a detailed report on what you need to do to promote not only your site but brand awareness in general. If you spot any mistakes in the site I will happily change them from you at no charge. If you suddenly have a blue-sky brain-storm and want to add a ton of new tweaks then I'm afraid that will cost you.
I will also start back-linking your site on my sites to get the ball rolling for search engine promotion.
My promises to you
- Your site will have a lower than average bounce rate [ What's this? ]
- Your site will work across many browsers and resolutions
- Your site will be unique, fresh and clean
- I will be able to answer emails quickly
- Most of my clients (even those from a decade ago) stay with me because I deliver what I promise!
