Hannah was born on the 4th Feb at 1.44am and weighed in at 7lb 7oz. Mother exhusted as is the father :)

I had my mail arrive this morning and I had one to sign for. I signed as usual and when I open the letter I found the order form inside but no money. A better look at the envelope showed that the side had been opened and the money removed.

I had a bit of a stressful time phoning this poor guy because 1st class recorded doesn't cover money. If you send money by post make sure of a few things first-

- It doesn't show money when you hold it up the light (his did).
- If the sides of the envelope are also glued make sure you tape around them as well (he didn't).
- Only use next day delivery for money (he should have).

I've had a couple of my parcels never arrive in the past year and I remember well the Channel 4 programme about how bad Royal Mail workers are for stealing your goods. It's the first time I've seen this first hand and it is VERY time consuming and costly to both parties. The order came from London and my parcels that went missing were both delivered to London. It seems that London is the place where the Royal Mail workers have their own agenda.

Come on Royal Mail, get things in order!

Torbay is waking up!

Torbay is starting to catch up on blogs. It seems that people in Torbay are finally starting to use the web for more than just surfing.

A Torbay bus driver now has a blog and so does my Sister Sadie.

One of the links off the Bus Drivers web site is to a Magistrates Blog Which I find really interesting and well worth a read!

WEIRD NEWS

On Dec. 20, a United Parcel Service driver was involved in a crash on an icy road near Keene, N.H., suffered a head injury, and was taken to Cheshire Medical Center, where tests were to be performed, except that the required machine for them was broken (though parts were on order). After checking the status of the order, hospital personnel discovered that the parts had been shipped and were in fact in the crashed UPS truck, and someone was dispatched to the scene of the accident to retrieve them. A 21-year-old man was hospitalized in intensive care in Murdoch, Australia (near Perth), in December following a barroom stunt in which he put on a helmet connected to a beer jug, with a hose that ran between the jug and a pump powered by an electric drill. The idea was to facilitate drinking a large quantity of beer without the laborious tasks of lifting a glass and swallowing, but the flow was so powerful that he had to be rushed to the hospital with a 10-centimeter tear in his stomach. GETTING MY OWN BACK AT COLD CALLERS

While I'm typing this I have the speaker phone on the phone going with one of these stupid pre-recorded messages. It's been going for around 5 minutes so far and hasn't stopped. I had a phone call during the call but thankfully I have call waiting so I had their pre-recorded message chatting to my pre-recorded message while I took the call. I love days like this :)

I also have a whistle next to my phone and as soon as I can know they are cold callers I start talking nice and softly so they have to turn up the earphone. As soon as they can easily listen to me I know they have the sound up so I blast the whistle down the phone and hang up. Great fun :)
