I've been our fishing a lot recently so I haven't had much spare time to devote to the diary so sorry about that.

My other half and I are going to have the first baby scan in a couple of weeks and I'm really excited..... and a bit nervous. I really hope everything will go ok.

I have got a friend into fishing and I'm amazed at how fast he's picked it all up. His first cast was good but from then on they have been perfect. I have two photos of us both that night:

The other night I went out because I only had 1 mackerel left for bait. I went with a friend and all afternoon we caught nothing and I could see the small mackerel we were using for bait going down fast. By 9pm I was really worried as I put the last piece of bait left on my hook. I cast out and sat there hoping a Pollock didn't rip the bait off. I got a tug and pulled in a mackerel.. YAY! :)

Ended up with 2 more that night but it was a close call as I didn't want to leave because I knew it was about to get quite good there.

I have been out fishing a lot this month and on all but one occasion I've been wearing my full weather gear (as the photo above shows). What is with this year’s weather and the almost continuous Easterly wind which is a nightmare for fishing :(
