I went fishing with my mate Antony and we both had a really good night.

I caught a nice dog fish:

And Antony, who has never fished before, caught his first ever fish; a mackerel:

We were joined by Nathan who only started fishing a month ago and I felt sorry for him because me and Antony were pulling in the fish but he didn't catch a thing. I did give him a lot of tips and tricks so I hope that will help him for next time.

Well I've launched a new web site for the sea fishing community. TorbayFishing.Com now contains all the fishing information I used to have on this web site. SimonDay.Com was getting too big and I needed to properly segment the different areas to try to reduce the hundreds of pages on this site.

The tide times for Torbay this weekend has been updated as well as a bit of fishing news.

I had a call out on Sunday so once I'd done that I grabbed my fishing gear and headed down to Babbacombe pier to see what was about. It was actually a good afternoon with plently of decent sized catches. I only caught a couple of mackerel but it's enough to keep me going for now.

I'm selling my 19" monitor, anyone interested?

If you're not doing anything this Saturday and fancy helping the RNLI then head down to the creekside village of Tuckenhay, near Totnes. They are holding a Lifeboat Rally which starts at 4pm.

If you're into Rally Driving then the Newton Abbot Audi Stages Rally is back on for October the 10th
