I've finally caught the cold bug that's travelling the bay at the moment. I've spent the day wrapped up by the phone and it's given me chance to work on this site.
With over 350 pages its grown out of the original design so I'm working on a way of making the site easier to navigate and to give it more space for the information needed.
I already revamped the Computer repair side of things so this time I turned to the shore fishing section of my site.
The logs are showing that people are coming in on certain topics and staying within that area of the site. Because of this it allows me to create varying designs for each topic to allow easier navigation.
I hope you like it so far.

There may be trouble ahead.....
At this time there is still very little publicity about the huge security risks involved in using Internet Explorer with regards to the latest of many worrying hacks.
I have prevented IE from being used in the cafe now and while I've been sat here bored silly I remembered I wanted to buy the other half a portable TV/Video player for her bedroom. I checked out a couple of sites and noticed something quite interesting... the sites won't work in the browsers I tested them in. We're talking big, mainstream businesses like Curry's here. Their fixation for Internet Explorer is going to bite them hard in the ass if word of this latest huge security breach gets to the mainstream press.
Just imagine if the Worlds press follows security experts and online newspapers by advising people not to use IE and to switch to other browsers. If that happened I reckon a least a third of online businesses would see a gigantic drop in sales because they have taken microshaft's IE for granted.
M$ brought out a patch last week in the hopes it would keep peeps quiet but instead we know the security breaches are still there so the experts are still saying stay away from IE.
At the end of the day Firefox and Opera are much better broswers anyway so take a look at them!

I'm going to grumble today :-)
Two things have happened over the last 24 hours that really niggled me.
The first is some old people in banks. This doesn't apply to many but the ones like the one in the bank yesterday who gridlocked it making people wait 45 minutes to get served. What took 45 minutes you ask? Her new cheque book had the number 3 instead of 3a.
how on earth can it possibly take 45 minutes to inform them there is such a minor mistake?
After taking 20 minutes to explain the small mistake (over and over and over and over again) it then took a further 25 minutes for her to understand they will send her a new book. While this was going on another counter opened and in the time it took for her to get with it half the population of the bay had been served including me.
I can understand they also need to bank but for the love of god if the queue of people is stretching out the door and down the road it would be polite to step aside and let the people who can't afford to be stuck in a queue all day to bank and get back to work. If we should give up seats on buses and trains and assist when needed the very least we could get in return is some understanding that if you realise you're causing a queue the size of the great wall of China you might consider other people.
The other thing that bugs me is small country lanes and huge coaches and articulated lorries....
So today I went to Newton Abbot and the traffic on Newton Road was a bad as ever. There is a country road that runs parallel to Newton Road which, for the most part, only the locals know about. This is a typical country lane which in places is almost the width of a car. I decided to go this route back... boy what a mistake that was!
I'm driving along and what should pull out in front of me but an articulated lorry. "great" I thought "this is gonna be fun". After having to stop a few times to squeeze cars through my worst nightmare happened and a coach came along towards us. I knew that there is nowhere for the last mile that was wide enough for a coach to pass the lorry and I also knew the lane well enough to know it was at least half a mile in front of us before the coach could find a spot. Within minutes there were 40 cars either side and the coach driver had to tell all the cars to back up and keep backing up... all the way back. Total time for the coach to pass this lorry? 22 minutes and over 100 cars affected.
There should be a complete blanket ban on coaches and lorries using lanes where there are not ample passing places for vehicles of that size. It must cost the UK economy millions and millions of lost pounds while lorry drivers and coach drivers decide to drive down lanes built only for cars.
Ok, that's it, no more moaning :-)

The tide times for Torbay this weekend have been updated.
There is also plenty of local fishing news around the bay this update so make sure you check it out.
If you didn't see my other posts about not using Internet Explorer then I'm still advising you not to use it. Microsoft did launch a crital update but it still doesn't resolve the issue.
For a list of other browsers you can choose from try Browsers Evolt for hundred of other options. Opera and Mozilla Firebird are still good choices!
I see kids doing this whenever I'm down meadfoot beach fishing and it is so dangerous. Another 3 kids got trapped on the cliffs last week so it highlights the dangers. Please tell your kids to be careful!
