URGENT REQUEST FOR HELP

Dear Fellow Angler,
If it is at all possible, could you please pass on this information to anyone you know who might be planning to come to the Tacklemania show at the Montem Sports Centre in Slough. The show (Southern Angling Show) was advertised as a two-day event (3rd & 4th April, 2004) but, due to circumstances beyond our control, the venue is only available on Saturday 3rd April, which means we need to get the message out to all people who were planning to come to the show on the Sunday to come on the Saturday instead! Please can let all your angling mates know and, if possible, please could you also forward this page to anyone you think might have planned to go to the show. Also, if you don't mind, please would you forward it on to anyone else who could spread the word, (including to any forums you might be part of) I would really appreciate it. If you need any further details or information about these changes, please do give us a call on our
freephone number 0800 107 7847.
Thanks in anticipation.

OH MY GOD - I have just discovered the power of mod_rewrite and it ROCKS!

Xanga.com has been the bain of my life for months. They have so many users using my images as their web page backgrounds via my bandwidth it is a joke.

Revenge is sweet :)

Now anyone trying to link to my images from xanga.com will get this as their background

See it in action right here and here while you can :)

LAPTOP FOR SALE!

I just bought a new laptop so I'm wanting to sell my old one. Specs are:

Dell P2 450 - Brand new 20gig hard drive - 128mb Ram - CD - Floppy - 2 Batteries - Power Supply - Carry Case - 13" screen. All working superb except the number's 1,2,3 need pressing down slightly harder than the rest of the keys.

Open to offers.

Downloading music is nowhere near as bad as suggested

Finally what I've been saying for months has been confirmed.

"File sharing has no effect on CD sales", a pair of US academics have claimed.

They say that it takes 5,000 downloads to reduce album sales by just one single copy. They go futher and suggest file-sharing has actually slowed down the decline rate of sales.

they also said "most people who shared files appear to be individuals who would not have bought the albums that they downloaded". the professors suggest we look to other reasons for the decline. Sales, they say, are not lost to downloads since most download are made of songs music fans would not buy anyway. They also point to a similar large decline in LP sales during the late 1970s and early 1980s - a trend that prompted the music industry's 'home taping is killing music' campaign.

They sum up:
"Movies, software and video games are actively downloaded, and yet these industries have continued to grow since the advent of file sharing," Reasons for the decline in music sales include, they suggest, "poor macroeconomic conditions, a reduction in the number of album releases, growing competition from other forms of entertainment such as video games and DVDs - video game graphics have improved and the price of DVD players and movies have sharply fallen - a reduction in music variety stemming from the large consolidation in radio along with the rise of independent promoter fees to gain airplay".

Quick coffee break...

I've seen my Birthday present on one of these sites I'm working on.

If anyone wants to reward me for all my hard work I've just added a rather nice yacht on it. Just let me know when you've bought it for me and I'll arrange to move abroad and work from on board :)

Talk about amazing inspiration with a yacht and views like that would have :-)
