I've spent most of today working on this site.
I've cleared up the broken links I found, turned the site into a template to make updates easier, added language translations and a few other bits.
I'm pretty sure googles translation tool isn't all that good but it's better than nothing :-)
I'm open to suggestions about what else I can add to this site, any ideas anyone??

Just added a Weekend tide times guide for South Devon to my Torbay Fishing Section.

The other week I went to the fishing tackle shop down by the harbour side (Quay stores) and said I'd make them a kick ass web site worth £1,000 for the cost of just £50 to cover the domain name and hosting. He said he would think about it next year (that's 2005!)... are my designs really that bad?
I'm weird to see some people are still keen not to make some extra money from the net. I've now offered my services to another fishing tackle store in Kent instead so they lost out big time.
I was hoping to go fishing tomorrow evening but I have meeting after meeting after meeting so it looks like I have no chance :(
Oh yeah, the snow last night lasted all of 20 minutes and it didn’t settle anywhere. I least I caught a fleeting glimpse of the white stuff :)
I got quite lucky yesterday because I was searching out some domains names and just by chance I happened to check the clearbluemedia ones and the co.uk had come available so I instantly snapped it up. It's a good thing because people often forget a .net and put in a .co.uk instead. They also, and more commonly, put in .com but in this case it forwards them onto a casino so they know they are in the wrong place.
There are some very low people in the World and this has to be very very near the bottom where the dregs of human society are - Thieves rob woman having seizure in Newton Abbot. The top part of the piece says: "Police in Devon are hunting criminals who stole money and a mobile phone from a woman who was having an epileptic seizure."
Now that is low!

Yay! It's snowing :-)
Because I live in Torbay the snow won't settle because there is too much salt in this area but it is lovely to see it falling :)
I just took my dog out for a wee and he ran straight back in. He's only seen it once before and that was early 90's hehe
I've been sat in the shop today watching the World go by and isn't it strange how some things make you chuckle.
Take for example 50cc mopeds that have the words "Racing" in big white letters all down the front panel of the bike. It obviously came like that when it was bought but I wonder who they try to kid when you hear it screaming at 9,000rpm and then watch a push bike overtake it because the moped is already doing its top speed of 35mph hehehe.
Have you also ever wondered why the mad people (I call them zoomers) always seem to find you on the day you're working. But not only that if you were working for a company with ten thousand employees in the building somehow the zoomer always manages to avoid everyone else and targets just you?
I'm going on a mission to discover the truth behind mad peoples radar and how those of us (like me) can avoid their detection. If anyone has already solved the problem please let me know (I think going mad myself will probably help but if they all converge to discuss tactics it could be much worse!)
Can you tell I'm bored today? :)
As per usual there is no snow here, not even a snow flake. Since 1987 I've only seen snow twice and it was at least 5 years ago since I last saw it. A friend of mine got his web cam working last night just so I could see what snow looked like again :)
I was shattered this evening and fell asleep at 6pm then woke up again at 10pm so I've been busy updating web sites etc this evening. I don't think I've ever fallen asleep like that before, I must be getting old :)
I'm now pretty much at maximum work load for the next few weeks so hopefully web design enquiries will go quiet for a bit while I catch up on everything.
There is a pain-in-the-arse virus out at the moment called Novarg or My Doom. I had 100 infected emails in just 2 hours this afternoon which is the most I've ever had. Make sure your computer is up to date with its virus software!
Bill Gates claimed yesterday that Viruses and hackers make Windows more secure. Erm... actually if they wrote better software we wouldn't have these problems :)
I use 3 programmes regually and if all 3 ever made a linux version I would never use windows again.
Just one other piece of IT'ish news - One in three Americans hate mobile phones.

There was a programme on BBC2 tonight about Abstinence in the USA and I was once again amazed by the underhanded way the Christians were pushing faith under the shield of something else, ie, abstinence in this case.
Ok ok, speaking about religion is always a bad thing but the older I get the more I realise how sneaky and underhanded various religions are.
Anyway, back to this programme....
It starts off with the crew pulling up to what looks like an airport terminal. It's actually the "Silver Ring Thing" home base. The US Government gave this "Business" $700,000 to help its cause.
Now at the heart of the American constitution it demands the separation of church and state. The Silver Ring Thing cannot spend Bush's bucks on God. So the first place we see them visit (with their $80,000 of sound and lighting equipment) is preaching both. The M.D (Managing Director as he should be called) claimed that because he was dealing with the meeting in the past it doesn't count. Hmmm, ok, if you say so.
Forwarding on the end of the programme we see the M.D seeking a further $3.5 dollars at the White House and shortly after that appearing at a discussion meeting where he flew in a Doctor and the American beauty queen (He did offer a private jet for the doc, wasn't that nice) and they were up against this poor women on her own but she still fought bravely. S.R.T wants to promote abstinence only in schools and not get into safer sex issues.
Now as a teenager your body is changing constantly. The correct thing to be doing is given the teenagers a talk on both. Why can't you promote abstinence and also safe sex for those who just won't have the will power to stick to abstinence.
Religions just seem like one big business and the "Silver Ring Thing" seems only concerned with grabbing as much $$$$ as they can to promote Christ and keep themselves nice and rich.
I remember when my Sunday's used to be like this. I woke up today at 10am and stayed in bed until 12pm. I wanted to relax today and believe it or not I find working on this web site very relaxing.
I've just gone through all the photos I took last year because I've decided to add a whole load more wallpapers to the site. A lot of the photos I'll be adding have never been on this web site before.
I'm a weird person because I don't like hot weather but as I've been going through the photos taken during the summer I have a strange longing for the summer to be here again. The weather forcasts for the whole of the UK for the next few days is freezing cold with snow in most places. Having only seen snow twice in the last 18 years I doubt we will be getting it (as usual) but I can't help looking at these pictures and dreaming of walking around in just shorts and a tee-shirt again.
There is something truly beautiful about Torbay in the Summer.....
