Recently i've been getting a lot of emails from people who have seen my Ghost sightings page.
I received an email today from Tim Brooks today with a photo taken at Berry Pomeroy Castle with an image of a ghost in the bottom left of the photo. This is the ghosts in photos page the photo is on.
A remarkable photo!

Well I've had another of those days where everyone wanted updates all at once.
The good news for me was it didn't stop me working like mad getting it all done so I could go out fishing tonight :)
I went down to Haldon pier and did my usual bottom fishing. I had a lot of bites but couldn't hook anything tonight. I get days like this so I'm not bothered. I think the fish tonight were missile fishies. I think they went for my bait at mach 9, ripped it off my hook and were half way to France before the rod stopped shaking :)
I also know who the best fisherman are.... Smokers!. All during 2003 up to now I can sit sometimes for an hour or more without a bite. Light a ciggy up and the rod doesn't stop bending. Throw the ciggy away and then you're back to no line pulls. I need to get some diving gear and see how the fishies know I'm smoking. I'm sure they have little fishy periscopes and they all circle my bait. The second I light up they take it in turns to tug at my bait until I put it out and then they huddle around my bait again waiting for the next smoke. If I was ever in a fishing competition I'd chain smoke the whole time and pick up gold :)

Our local late night shop Tek's got raided yesterday. £40k in his house? wow :)
I don't know why but all my clients know I work in the video/cyber cafe shop on a Wednesday and yet they all contact me for changes either late Tuesday night or during Wednesday and I then spend all Thursday working like mad catching up because I had one day away working somewhere else. Murphy's law is always hitting me hard :)
The ghost story pages are getting a lot of hits now and I'm getting a lot of emails and phone calls about them so hello to everyone I've spoken too recently ;)
I'm going to try and get out fishing again soon and I'm sticking to night fishing as it has produced much better results for me. I'm still surprised so many Mackerel are about. I wasn't expecting that.

Michael Moore, the star of TV nation and Bowling for Columbine, has said on camera that he doesn't have a problem with file sharing.
There was one point he rose which I never thought of before. Let's suppose a friend bought a DVD video or a music CD from a shop and you asked to borrow it. Ok so now ask yourself what is the difference between you borrowing it from a friend or you downloading to watch it. Yes both things are illegal but one everyone turns a blind eye to one and thinks nothing of it and yet the other is being published everywhere as a terrible crime and must be stamped out.
It's a weird World we live in.

DEVON & CORNWALL POLICE GET IT WRONG
I went out late last night for a drive and on the way back I stopped at the local 24 hour garage. The person in front of me was obviously very, very drunk. I thought he must be in one of taxis but to my horror I saw him get in his own car and start to drive off in a very dangerous manner.
At this stage I'll point out my pet hate has always been drink drivers and while I was in the Special Constabulary I arrested more drink drivers than any other offence.
I phoned 999 on my mobile and followed this car explaining what I had seen and heard in the garage as well as giving an excellent description of him, his manner, his eyes, his speech and his breath. I followed him to his home address and was told if I could stay nearby to point out exactly where he parked up. This I did but at no point did I mention I used to be in the force.
5 minutes later a women at Exeter comms phones me back to say because he's now at his home address now there is nothing they can do.
Nothing you can do huh?
What about section 4, sub sections 6 and 7 of the road traffic act 1988 (c.52) then:
(6) A constable may arrest a person without warrant if he has reasonable cause to suspect that that person is or has been committing an offence under this section.
(7) For the purpose of arresting a person under the power conferred by subsection (6) above, a constable may enter (if need be by force) any place where that person is or where the constable, with reasonable cause, suspects him to be.
They fobbed me off and I'm bloody angry by it. I told the comms operator he smelt strongly of drink. I told them his speech was very slurred. I told them his driving was very erratic.DOES THIS NOT SOUND LIKE REASONABLE GROUNDS?
The manner of this mans driving was dangerous. At one point he was doing 80mph in a 30mph built up area with people about. He was a death waiting to happen but the Police, thinking I didn't know anything about the law said they could do nothing. Does this then mean that I'm allowed to drink a bottle of vodka and even if I'm chased as long as I can make it through my front door I'm safe? I don't think so!
I have always given my collar number when I phoned for the Police and this was one of the first times I haven't but I'm now starting to wonder how many people really do get fobbed off when they phone up in good faith.
I'm sure one day he'll kill himself or others and I know where the blame will lay when it does! If I was still in the force I would demanded to know his address and bloody arrested him myself. Drink drivers are killers and it should not have been treated in such a bad way.
I'm sure many family's who have had relatives killed by drink drivers (I've lost one myself) would be disturbed by this.
Very poor show Devon & Cornwall!

This morning I woke up at 4.30am and picked up my Nephew Tom to go out fishing (Yup, I'm mad getting up that early hehe). I had never tried Brixham Breakwater before so that's where we went.
The first bit of good news was the car park was only charging 70p to park all day which is a sweet deal. The walk to the end of the breakwater seemed to go on forever and we were both excited about being somewhere new. I took out the bait I had bought from sporting lines in Belgrave road the night before (squid and sand eels) and it was all rotten and stunk. It was all we had (hadn't expected it to be off) so we had to make do.
Because the place is so popular we didn't expect the problems we had. Pretty much every time we reeled in we snagged on rocks and lost everything on the line pulling it back up. I hadn't expected it so didn't bring anything to combat the rocks. After going through our weights we tried float fishing instead but had the same problems. We ended up having to leave and vowed to talk to other people about how to properly fish the breakwater.
We then headed to Torquay Pier because we couldn't afford to lose anymore tackle and nowhere at that time of morning was open. A kind chap there gave us a mackerel he just caught for bait. I went bottom fishing and only had 3 bites the whole morning and Tom went after mackerel using eels. The result was 1 mackerel for all our effort that morning :)
I did some take pics so I'll be uploading them onto the site in the next couple of days.
