RIAA Subpoenas Ruled Unconstitutional
It's about time this happened. Don't get me wrong I do believe downloading free music is wrong but I also believe that the blatant price fixing that has been going on for the last 3 decades is very, very wrong as well.
I don't like the fact the RIAA are walking around saying people on the net are commiting crimes when the music and film industry have been commiting their own crimes for decades. For most people this is finally pay back and the music/film industry hate it. Well sorry folks but you brought this all on yourself!
If the price fixing hadn't have happened I honestly believe that tens of thousands of downloaders wouldn't be doing it. human beings hate being conned and if there is a chance of some pay back a large number of people would jump at the chance. In my lifetime I have spent hundreds and hundreds on LP's, tapes and CD's and I'm also one of these people who feel totally cheated.
One label alone Polygram is reckoned to of cost consumers an esitmated $480,000,000 in price fixing. If just one company can be estimated at a whopping 480 million dollars it doesn't take much brain power to see just how much money these greedy companies have conned out of us the public.
In my opinion there is no point these companies running around screaming "sob sob, people are getting our stuff for free".
People have 30 years of price fixing to catch up on. The people have spoken and it's tough luck you don't like what you hear!
Payback is a bitch, shut up and just accept the fact what goes around comes around!

I have a site that keeps linking to one of my images and she isn't taking the hint yet. Thankfully I just create a background colour which is the same as her text and the result is Where has my text gone? Edit** She has finally stopped stealing my bandwidth so you can see her text now*****
Anyone got any fun ideas what else I could do to the bandwidth stealers? Contact me if you have some fun ideas and maybe I'll do them :)
I'm trying so hard to wind up for Christmas but I've got more meetings over the next few days than I've ever had before. I've even got 2 meetings on Sunday. doh!
I've added 2 new properties to Suncoast Properties today and I have the client coming over tomorrow to add a few more and update some of the details.
Gah, 3 hours to go before my weekly chinese :)
I saw that the Dutch supreme court ruled Kazza legal, more info on it here
Also if you use Win2k from April next year M$ will stop selling it and from Nov 2004 OEMs will no longer be able to supply Win2k Server either, meaning that companies still running it as standard and wishing to deploy new machines will have to buy 2003 licences and 'downgrade' to Win2k. Not unusual but worth noting.

Could this be the first of many Ticking offs for spamming? Even America is having a go at spammers. Let us all hope these are the first of many.
Yesterday in the Cyber Cafe is was really quiet. Even the video shop side of things was really quiet.
Talking of the video shop no more decent films are coming out this month but the next couple of months are going to be good. Freddy vs Jason will be out next month and if you haven't watched it yet you should. It was a great film!
I also watched the time codes for Wrong Turn which was another great film. Plot Outline: A carload of six teens find themselves trapped in the woods of West Virginia, hunted down by "cannibalistic mountain men grossly disfigured through generations of in-breeding."
Another film getting bad reviews is The Sin Eater or "Out of order" if you live outside the UK. I actually enjoyed the film even though with a film title of Sin Eater I wsn't actually expecting much.
I'm hoping to see the last Lord of the Rings in the next couple of days.

Well I got a bit bored tonight so I've re-made this page. It isn't all that disabled friendly just yet but I wanted to make sure it worked first :)
My other look was ok but I felt it was a bit bland so I've made it all stand out a bit better.
I've forgotten what fishing was like, I really need to go do some more soon, I'm missing it badly.
I had to get a new hard drive today and I've formatted my machine. WOW what a difference it makes now. my new hard drive is 5 times the speed of the old on. Combine that with my new upgrades and this machine is very sweet now.
Oh well, think I'm gonna get a video and relax a bit now.

Not much to report today really. I've been working solid all day getting my new shopping store list updated with reviews for disabled access. It's hard going :)
One of my clients has a number of web sites and he wanted to be top of google for certain keywords.
He wanted small group travel
for two of them (.com and co.uk) and out of 4.4million web sites his .com is number one and his co.uk is number two :)
One of his others is holidays in asia and he wanted to be top for the search phrase Holidays to Asia and guess where it is? yup, number 1 out of 1.3 million web sites.
I rule :)

I'm back to my bad habit of insomnia. 2.20am and I'm still wide awake :(
I've decide with my new Online Shopping Store listings too make it differnet from the rest in that I review each one for disabled access. Too many sites are unaccessible so I thought it was about time that got changed :)
I still have a long way to go before it's completed but I'm making good progress.
I saw in our Local news that a man has been jailed for 4 years and banned from driving for 10 years because he killed someone while talking on a mobile phone. I think that makes the total roughly 3 or 4 people in the whole UK who have killed someone while on the phone. I kid you not, the figure for mobile phone deaths is that low.
If you ever want a big of a giggle somethingawful.com is worth checking out.
