Are high street stores for large chains worth it.....

Ok so today I'm after an home alarm. I do loads of readups online. Decided what type to get and even what model suits all my needs. Quick look online and great news; Argos, B and Q and focus all sell them. Great I thought.... well not quite!

As per usual went to Argos in Torquay and for the 4th time out of the 5 times down there I got told they don't stock it (I wonder if they stock anything there but anyway..)

Went up to B and Q and they don't stock it. Went to Focus and get this; they stock all the additional extras you can buy but not the actual unit!

So I came back here and phone all the various focus stores within a 50 mile radious of here. none of them stock it. I then phoned some local compaines who tell me they only stock the cheaper ones and I should try B and Q, Focus or Argos. AARRRGGGHHHH!

Ended up back at Argos because at least they can deliver it within two days.

If I had a credit card and after all the hassle I always seem to have I don't think I'd shop normally again. Too much hassle!
