I read today that Napster has launched its UK version today.
If I understand the read up correctly (and I could be wrong) you have the option of paying for what is effectively a glorified personal radio station paying £9.95 a month to listen to your favourite songs.
If you then want to burn your favourite tunes to a CD you then have to pay an extra 99p a song or £9.95 an album.
So to combat music piracy you can either:
Go buy it on the shops for under £10
Download it for £19.90 on Napster
Hmmm, tough choice :-)
Napster Light looks slightly more promising with it giving you 30 second clips to hunt out your favourite songs and then charging £1.09 a song or from £9.95 an album
Giving the huge hassle I had with mycokemusic.com I don't think I'll be bothering with either thanks.
