In the register is the following news: European Parliament voted to enact the Intellectual Property (IP) Enforcement Directive. This legislative framework for dealing with piracy and theft of copyrighted goods is now sent to the member states, which have two years to enact laws which comply with the directive.
In the same kind of news a Father speaks out about being sued by the recording industry because of his son downloading music.
I can see the recording industry sat in their plush board room now...
RI Person 1: "Let’s start suing parents for their kids downloading, that will be funny"
RI Person 2: "Haven't the record labels done enough already by price fixing for 30 years?"
RI Person 1: "Who cares, we're untouchable"
RI Person 2: "Good point, more coffee anyone?".
One solution to all of this is the music industry getting sued for the hundred of thousands of billions it made from price fixing and to have that pumped into free music downloads for the next 5 years as a way of forcing it to say sorry. :)
I just can't help thinking of the line in the film wall street when I think of the music industry...... "Greed is good"
