Oh My God! It's gone midnight and I'm still hard at work, the things I do to try and get a bit of fishing in the next day :)
Terry signed my guestbook so at least I know local people know about the site as well :)
I emailed the Herald express weeks ago saying it would be a good article to run about this site because grockles..erm.. I mean tourists ;-) can take a piece of Torbay back with them on their computers. They thought it was a great idea and then I heard nothing else from them :-(
I'm hopefully getting a new car tomorrow and my new fishing night light so that is pretty sweet. I also had offical comfirmation this evening that my resignation from the Special Constabulary has been accepted. Nine years is a long time of ones life to devote to volunteer work but I did find it very rewarding and I throughly enjoyed every duty. I think I'll write a page one day about all the things I've seen in my time but the ones that spring straight to mind are:
Attended 2 murder scences
Sudden Deaths
2 stabbings
2x Firearms incidents
Countless Dawn Raids
Countless foot and car pursuits
Being surrounded by a large gang with baseball bats and broken bottles and being told by the pc I was with that he was authorising me to use any force (Very scary night and it was one of my first duties hehehe)
Also been threatened with a knives 5 times, baseball bats twice, a cricket bat, 2 contaminiated needles and a goldfish (don't ask!)
Thankfully I had always managed to talk my way out of every serious situation and being a smoker has probably saved my life on at least 3 occassions.
Pah, off to bed, need sleep.
