The good thing about working for yourself is you can get up early, work early and leave early which is what I've done today. I headed down to Torquay Pier and did some float fishing. After a couple of hours I had netted a few mackerel so decided to try and see what was down on the sea bottom. I switched to a bottom rig and guess what I kept pulling in? yup, more mackerel :-)
My bottom rig worked great until 8pm when it all got tangled and by then it was too dark to try and re-do so I had to call it a night which annoyed me. Normally there are 4 lights on Torquay pier but tonight only 1 was working and there were already 2 people under it. To prevent this happening again I've ordered a Endurance Leisure Lamp from Marsh-tackle so I hope it arrives on Friday which I'm hoping is the next time I go fishing.
I was looking for a better rig setup and came across the Beach-Caster.Com build your own rigs page. I am going to try out the Double Runner and the Boom Paternoster next time I'm down there.
